2017 Reunion in Shrewsbury

This year’s reunion will take place 3 to 5 November 2017, hosted by the Diocese of Shrewsbury.

Programme

Friday 3 November

7.30pm
Our hosts have organised a wine tasting session on Friday evening at Tanners Wine Merchants. It will cost £25 per person. A champagne reception will be followed by a tour of the internationally famous cellars with wine tasting and charcuterie.

Saturday 4 November

9.30am to 10.30am
Registration (with tea and coffee):
Shrewsbury Cathedral
Our Lady, Help of Christians and St Peter of Alcantara
Town Walls
Shrewsbury
SY1 1TE.

11.00am
Mass in Shrewsbury Cathedral, Celebrant Bishop Mark Davis Bishop of Shrewsbury.

The Mass will be offered for deceased members of the Association. Please tell Mick Davison about any members who have died since our last reunion so that their names can be included in the bidding prayers.

12.45pm
Lunch (including wine) in The Lion Hotel, Wyle Coop, SY1 1UY.

2.15 pm
Annual General Meeting of the Association. We will aim to finish the by 5.00pm.

Saturday evening (details to be announced on the day)
Members and guests are invited to assemble for dinner and drinks in one of the nearby pubs / restaurants.

Sunday 5th November

Breakfast in hotels and depart.

If you want to attend Mass before leaving Shrewsbury there are services in the Cathedral at 8.30am and 10.45am.

Hotel accommodation

There are a number of hotels close to the Cathedral, including The Lion Hotel (where we will be holding the lunch and meeting). Unfortunately we haven’t been able to arrange an acceptable group rate for members and their guests.

Our suggestions are:

Bookings should be made direct with the hotel of your choice.

Costs

  • Wine tasting (Friday evening – optional) £25.00 per person
  • Registration and Administration Fee £10.00 per person
  • Lion Hotel Conference Fee (including lunch, room booking, etc) £35.00 per person
